In brief: Almost 100,000 formal jobs created in Brazil in November

* Brazil’s economy ministry has announced that the country has seen the eighth consecutive month of positive job creation in November. With 1,291,837 positions being filled and 1,192,605 dismissals, there has been a positive balance of 99,232 jobs created in the formal sector in November according to the government’s national employment registry (Caged). The Caged has registered the creation of 948,344 formal job positions since the start of the year. Unemployment has been falling in Brazil this year, but remains high at 11.6%.
