ECUADOR: Correa cracks down on 'anarchy'

President Rafael Correa met his first public security challenge with a show of force followed by legal action and a warning that 'anarchy', and particularly any threat to Ecuador's oil industry, will not be tolerated. He also threatened to resign if the constituent assembly tried to reverse his actions, as proposed by the opposition.
