Argentina’s economy & finance minister, Martín Guzmán, appeared before the federal lower chamber of congress on 12 February to outline the government’s planned debt renegotiation with external creditors. Guzmán’s appearance coincided with the arrival in the country of a technical mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for an extended visit. If bondholders were hoping for some concrete details they would have been disappointed.
