In brief: Colombia’s unemployment continues to rise

* Colombia’s national statistics institute (Dane) has reported that unemployment rose to 13% in January, compared to 12.8% in the same month last year. Dane emphasised that urban unemployment fell from 13.7% to 12.9% in this period, but this was outweighed by soaring rural unemployment.
