BOLIVIA-PERU-BRAZIL: 'Triple Border' gang war triggers joint response

The escalation of fighting between rival drug gangs in the area where Bolivia meets Peru and Brazil has led the governments of the three countries to start planning joint security efforts there. In Cobija, capital of the Bolivian department of Pando, 10 people have been killed since the beginning of this year, a sharp increase on the 15 known to have killed in the whole of 2007.
