REGION: Caricom at odds with the EU over blacklisting

There is anger in the Caribbean at the blacklisting by the European Union (EU) of The Bahamas, Barbados, and Jamaica for deficiencies in anti-money-laundering regulations. The EU has also failed to remove Trinidad & Tobago from its watchlist despite it being given clearance by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the global watchdog for anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism (AML-CFT). Guyana, however, has been delisted.
