In brief: Peru maintains agricultural production

* Peru’s agriculture ministry (Minagri) has reported that agricultural production increased by 0.6% in April compared with the same month in 2019, highlighting that this growth was achieved despite the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic on agricultural activities. Minagri further noted that the agricultural sector grew by 2.2% year-on-year in the first four months of 2020, driven by increased production in both the crop and livestock sub-sectors.
