Ibaneis Rocha, the governor of Brazil’s Federal District (DF – the administrative region which encompasses the capital Brasília), declared a state of public calamity on 29 June due to the continuing coronavirus (Covid-19) emergency. This measure gives the DF urgent access to federal resources.
