* Honduras has reopened airports for international commercial flights for the first time since 20 March, when President
Juan Orlando Hernández ordered the closure of the airports to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19). The first international flights arrived into Toncontín airport in the capital Tegucigalpa, and the 'Ramón Villeda Morales' airport in San Pedro Sula, Honduras’s second largest city, and the capital of Cortés department. Honduras’s airports first opened for domestic flights on 10 August. Temperatures will be taken for all passengers when they come into the terminal, and face masks and social distancing will be mandatory. Airport shops and cafes will remain closed apart from pharmacies and banks.
