The majority of Bolivia’s 70-odd roadblocks were dismantled on 14 August, a day after the supreme electoral tribunal (TSE) ratified the revised date of the general election as 18 October. This revision was made possible when warring parties in the legislative assembly set aside their differences to approve a bill pushing the election back from 6 September and this was swiftly promulgated by interim president Jeanine Áñez.
