BRAZIL: JBS owners and state governor accused of corruption

On 14 October, Brazil’s office of federal public prosecutors (MPF) presented accusations of corruption, money laundering, and criminal association against Mato Grosso do Sul state governor, Reinaldo Azambuja; owners of meat-packing company JBS, brothers Joesley and Wesley Batista; and 21 other individuals.
