COLOMBIA | Setback in the field. On 24 May, Colombia's Fuerza Naval Sur launched an attack on a Farc camp in Solano, Caquetá, acting on intelligence that located an important stash of explosives there, presumably to be used for the disruption of the 30 May presidential elections. They ran straight into an ambush, which cost them nine dead, two wounded and one member still missing.  This was the deadliest Farc attack on the security forces since November 2009.
