MEXICO: Social media regulation on the agenda

Near the end of his term in office US President Donald Trump was unceremoniously thrown off Facebook and Twitter. In Mexico, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador seems to be considering legislation to prevent the same thing ever happening to him. Despite their ideological differences, Trump and López Obrador shared a degree of friendship, a populist style of doing politics, suspicion of traditional media, and intense use of social media platforms.
