In brief: Experts slightly revise up Mexico growth forecast

*Private sector economists consulted by Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) have slightly improved their forecast for Mexico's GDP growth in 2021 to 3.89%, up from 3.74% in January. This is the first economists' poll released since Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) confirmed at the end of last month that Mexico’s GDP contracted by 8.2% in 2020. The surveyed economists also raised their forecasts for inflation, expecting this to close 2021 at 3.88%, slightly down from 3.65% in their January estimate.
