MEXICO: López Obrador opts for “moderate” crude targets

On 18 March Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said the state-owned oil company Pemex should lift production to 2m barrels per day (bpd) by the end of this year but no more, emphasising that government policy now seeks self-sufficiency in petroleum production and consumption.
