Upon his inauguration in November 2020, Bolivia’s President Luis Arce was faced with three daunting tasks – to manage the country’s response to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic; to lead the recovery of the national economy; and to bring political stability back to Bolivia, after 12 months of extreme volatility.
