BRAZIL: Bolsonaro government on edge

A senate-led congressional commission of inquiry (CPI) investigating the Brazilian executive’s handling of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is, as expected, causing some discomfort for the government led by President Jair Bolsonaro. With it also facing difficulties on other fronts, and polls showing a trend of falling support for the president, the government appears to be in a somewhat fragile position politically.
