In brief: Inflation rises in Colombia

* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has published the latest consumer price index (IPC), showing that inflation rose by 0.38% in September compared with the previous month, bringing annual inflation to 4.33%. Dane reported that monthly inflation was principally driven by rising costs in housing, water, electricity & gas (0.40%) and in food & non-alcoholic drinks (0.76%), while the only sector that saw deflation compared with August was education (-2.30%).
