PERU: New PM Vásquez says constituent assembly ‘not a priority’

On 9 October, Peru’s new Prime Minister Mirtha Vásquez provoked the ire of the ruling far-left Perú Libre (PL) when she said that convening a constituent assembly to draft a new constitution is no longer a priority.
