In brief: Honduras sounds out UAE investment

* Honduras’ foreign ministry has informed that Foreign Minister Lisandro Rosales is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the aim of seeking out investments. Rosales has met with Khalifa Abdula Al Qubaisi, the deputy director general of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, as well as executives from the Mubadala Investment Company, which has reportedly expressed an interest in the tender for a feasibility study on the construction of a bridge linking the port of Amapala with mainland Honduras, a key infrastructure project for the country. Rosales will also visit the Dubai Expo 2020 (which was delayed by a year due to the coronavirus [Covid-19] pandemic), where Honduras has a pavilion.
