COLOMBIA: 180 soldiers ‘kidnapped’

A total of six army platoons, composed of 180 soldiers, were “kidnapped” and held for over two days by some 600 peasant farmers in the municipality of Tibú, in Colombia’s conflictive Catatumbo region near the border with Venezuela, according to local media reports.
