In brief: Inflation slows in Peru

* Peru’s central bank (BCR) has published the latest figures for the consumer price index (IPC) which show that inflation increased by 0.45% in November. This was the lowest monthly rise in inflation since May, although annual inflation stands at 6.24% - significantly higher than the BCR’s target range of 1%-3%. Inflation in November was driven by monthly price rises in rental accommodation, fuels & electricity (+2.21%), furniture & appliances (+0.5%), and transport & communications (+0.21%).
