In brief: Dominican Republic hails tourism recovery

* The Dominican Republic’s tourism ministry has reported that 519,349 tourists visited the country in November 2021, up 197% on the same month in 2020 (which was affected by the impact of the coronavirus [Covid-19] pandemic) and up 12% on the same month in 2019, before coronavirus struck. This brings the total number of tourists to have visited the country in the first 11 months of the year to 4.26m.
