In brief: Colombia’s coffee production falls

* Colombia’s national federation of coffee producers (FNC) has released the latest figures on coffee production, which it says declined 22% year-on-year in November. The FNC reported that 1.1m sacks of coffee were produced that month (1 sack = 60kg), compared to 1.4m sacks in November 2020. Exports declined by 11% year-on-year to 1.1m sacks, although the FNC reported that in annualised terms coffee exports have remained broadly in line with the previous year, totalling 12.6m sacks over the past 12 months.
