Ximena Lombana, has announced that Colombia’s exports in 2021 totalled US$41.22bn – a 32.7% increase on 2020 and 4.4% higher than the pre-coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic figures recorded in 2019. Notably, of the 2021 export total, US$18.18bn did not come from the mining or energy sectors – the highest level on record, marking a 24.5% increase on 2020. Agricultural goods accounted for US$9.44bn of exports (+19.9%), while manufactured exports totalled US$8.93bn (28.7%).
