In brief: Chile’s trade slows in February

* Chile’s central bank (BCCh) has published new figures which show that Chile’s exports totalled US$7.58bn in February 2022, down from US$8.37bn in January 2022 but up from US$7.28bn in the same month in 2021. Meanwhile imports totalled US$7.46bn, up from US$5.74bn in February 2021 but down from US$7.57bn in January 2022. Copper exports, which totalled US$3.84bn in February 2022, were down from US$3.87bn the previous month and from US$4.23bn in February 2021.
