One of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s major infrastructure projects reached completion this week. On unveiling the new Felipe Ángeles international airport (AIFA), located 50km north of Mexico City (CDMX), López Obrador stated it was “mission complete”. There was much fanfare around the inauguration of the airport, which aims to alleviate pressure from CDMX’s existing international airport (AICM).
