In brief: Inflation slows in Colombia

* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has published the latest consumer price index, showing that annual inflation fell to 9.07% in May – down from 9.23% in April. Monthly inflation in May was 0.84%, down from 1.25% in April. Monthly inflation was predominantly driven by price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.56%) and housing, water, electricity, and gas (0.83%).
