CHILE | Inflation continues onward march. Inflation reached a 28-year high in Chile in May, the national statistics institute (INE) reported on 8 June. The consumer price index (CPI) for May was 1.2%, bringing 12-month inflation to 11.5%, its highest level since 1992. There is no sign of it abating. Inflation has already reached 6.1% for the first five months of the year.
