On 23 May, Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) published its latest quarterly figures on employment based on its national employment survey (Enoe), which showed that in the first quarter of 2022, the economically active population (EAP) totalled 58.1m people, equivalent to 58.7% of the population aged 15 and above.
