Introduction
The first piece in this June 2022 issue of the Latin American Regional Report: Mexico looks at Mexico-US security relations under the revamped bilateral security alliance, which was launched late last year. Much has been made of the framework’s role in ushering in a new era of bilateral security cooperation, based on mutual respect and collaboration.
