BRAZIL: Lula supporter slain as election turns violent

On 9 July, a supporter of Brazil’s former leftist president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (2003-2011), the frontrunner ahead of general elections in October, was killed by a Bolsonarista in the southwestern city of Foz do Iguaçu in the state of Paraná.
