COLOMBIA: Liberals place congressional majority within Petro’s reach
In an official statement released on 13 July Colombia’s traditional centrist Partido Liberal (PL) said its leaders had formally voted to declare itself “a party of government” thereby increasing the chances that the incoming left-wing president Gustavo Petro will have a working majority in both chambers of congress.
