COSTA RICA | Joining the Pacific Alliance. Costa Rica’s President Rodrigo Chaves has formally ordered his foreign affairs and foreign trade ministers, Arnoldo André and Manuel Tovar respectively, to launch talks for the country to join the Pacific Alliance trade bloc, comprising Chile, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru, as part of his drive for faster economic growth.
