PARAGUAY: Itaipú electricity tariff lowered
On 9 August Paraguay and Brazil, joint owners and operators of the giant Itaipú hydroelectric complex on the Paraná River, agreed to lower the price of the electricity it generates by 8.2% to US$20.75 per kilowatt hour (Kwh).
