URUGUAY: Ministers survive passport scandal

On 23 August senators from Uruguay’s left-wing opposition Frente Amplio (FA) coalition called for the resignation of the ministers of interior and foreign affairs, following hearings into how a passport was issued to Sebastián Marset, a citizen accused of drug trafficking and other criminal activity.
