BRAZIL: Bolsonaro beginning to feel boost
President Jair Bolsonaro this week painted a glowing picture of the state of the Brazilian economy, saying that indicators were “fantastic” compared to the rest of the world. With nearly a quarter of the population living in poverty, there is no shortage of Brazilians who might take issue with that description. But many are beginning to notice an improvement in their own situation and that of their country, and they are more optimistic about the future.
