This week local civil-society group, the national anti-corruption council (CNA) and joint regional anti-corruption initiative, Centro contra la Corrupción y la Impunidad en el Norte de Centroamérica (CCINOC), called on the leftist Partido Libertad y Refundación (Libre) government led by President Xiomara Castro to make good on key anti-corruption pledges such as establishing a new international commission against corruption and impunity in Honduras (CICIH) and transparency relating to the election of the new supreme court (CSJ).
