Corruption allegations hit Bolivia’s highways authority

Bolivia’s highways authority (ABC) is at the centre of an expanding corruption investigation, following allegations that its president and other high-ranking officials charged kickbacks in return for awarding construction contracts. The ongoing investigation by the attorney general’s office could threaten government figures outside of the ABC, with the public works minister, Edgar Montaño, looking particularly vulnerable.
