The government led by President Alejandro Giammattei has unveiled its proposed 2023 budget, for Q112.28bn (US$14.5bn), up from the Q106.23bn approved for 2022. Presenting the budget proposal, the finance minister, Álvaro González Ricci, highlighted food security and tackling malnutrition as a key focus.
