In brief: Income tax revenue rises in Peru

* Peru’s central bank (BCRP) has revealed that revenue generated from income tax in August amounted to PEN4.22bn (US$1.08bn). This represents a 10.3% increase on the income tax take for August 2021. Demonstrating Peru’s ongoing economic recovery from the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, income tax revenue from January-August was PEN51.54bn – up 39.1% on the same period in 2021, when pandemic-related restrictions were still in force.
