In brief: Mexico’s gov’t names new tax authority head

*Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has appointed Antonio Martínez Dagnino as the new head of the tax authority (SAT). Martínez takes over the role from Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez who was named as the new federal economy minister following the resignation of Tatiana Clothier on 6 October. Martínez had served as the head of SAT’s general administration of large taxpayers. He also has experience working in the private and banking sector.
