MEXICO: Zapatista 'army' in Chiapas clash

When about 5,000 Zapatistas converged from their various communities on the central Chiapas municipality of Zinacantán on 10 April, their intention was to make a show of force - albeit a peaceful one - in support of demands for the restoration of power and water supplies cut off by the local authorities. The event ended in a clash that left 21 injured, and accusations on both sides that the stage was being set for a renewal of hostilities.
