*Brazil’s Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural, e Biocombustíveis (ANP), the federal oil and gas regulator, has announced that the country’s production of oil and natural gas has increased to 4.048m barrels per day (bpd) in September, a record figure. Up to now, Brazil’s production record was 4.041m bpd, registered in January 2020. Oil and gas production in September 2022 increased 2% compared to August and 5.4% compared to the same month of 2021. The production of oil averaged at 3.148m bpd, up 2.85% compared to the previous month and 4.9% in year-on-year terms. Natural gas production in September averaged at 143.07m cubic metres per day, up 2.17% on August and 7.5% year-on-year.
