BOLIVIA: Government rejects IMF recommendations

A 14 September report from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) recommended that the Bolivian government implement “meaningful fiscal adjustment” by constraining public sector wage growth, limiting growth in public investment, and reducing subsidies. True to form, the concerns were met with short shrift from President Luis Arce’s government.
