MEXICO | Discussing nearshoring with the US. On 1 December Mexico’s Economy Minister Raquel Buenrostro and US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo met in Washington to lay out a plan for 2023 to strengthen supply chains. According to a press release issued by Mexico’s economy ministry (SE), the two discussed the relocation of companies from Asia to North America and the strengthening of supply chains, in particular for the printed circuit board and semiconductor sectors.
