In brief: Argentina's Massa hails bond issuance

*Argentina’s economy minister, Sergio Massa, has said that the government has raised Ar$770bn (US$4.48bn) through placing bonds on the domestic market. He said that offers worth Ar$1.2trn were presented – the biggest number since 2020. He said that the funds would expand finance for the public sector by over Ar$360bn and would enable the government to meet treasury-related commitments without the use of other central bank (BCRA) measures.
