MEXICO: Parties suspend cooperation with Fox

Right now, with just under half his term still to run, President Vicente Fox is looking very much like a lame duck - the big question is whether he is suffering from a temporary or permanent limp. Both main opposition parties have formally announced that they will no longer cooperate with Fox's government, one because it feels targeted by a dirty tricks campaign, the other because it feels gratuitously insulted. In practice, this means that there is little hope of movement on Fox's proposed tax and energy reforms.
