* Brazil’s Sindicato Nacional dos Aeronautas (SNA), the country’s main union for pilots and cabin crew, has begun a partial strike affecting flights at airports around the country. The strike has been scaled down in scope following a judicial ruling that barred the SNA from bringing more than 10% of its members out on strike. The SNA complied with the ruling by limiting its strike action to between 6am and 8am at airports in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, and Campinas. The strike has continued today (20 December), with air staff demanding higher pay rises due to inflation and the cost of living.
