* Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has revealed new figures showing that Argentina’s economic activity fell by 0.3% in October 2022 as compared to September. This is the second consecutive month of decline, following a monthly drop of 0.2% in September. However, in year-on-year terms, economic activity was up 4.5% on October 2021. This yearly increase was due to increased activity in hotel & restaurants (+27.2%) and mining & quarrying (+12.5%). Fishing registered the largest yearly decline (-29.6%), followed by financial mediation (-1.8%).
